Do you got The Summertime Blues ?

Sometimes , this time of year , the heat of the summer and the lack of aggressive bites when you hit the water can give a fella the summertime blues .
I had a case of it recently myself , got to the ole dock on my lunchbreak and pitched out an orange headed black and chart plastic ....
They liked it , but not in any way shape or form over abundantly and the fish hitting it were really small . I might have managed a 9 incher and several 5 inchers and I grew bored with it quickly .
So what's a fella to do without a LS unit to "put it on their nose" ?
Simple ....make the fish come to YOU ! I preach this non stop and some just can't seem to understand using a lure to lure fish .....funny how simple it can be and yet complex at the same time .
I only had 3 jigs total with me , one on my rod , 2 in my watch pocket .....
one was as stated was black and chart , one was red and chart and one was ....
BLUE and white .....
I coupled that blue and white with a blue jig head when I decided to see if there might be a better bite on a different color ....EVEN though we all know it Don't matter ....
AND just like that Johnny B Ketchn BIG crappie FAST !
KABOOM KABOOM KABOOM .....
6 lb mono , and a lil short Shakespeare ugly stick and that there Summertime Blue jig got it done , 12 fow a water and VERY slowly rising was the ticket , left them biting ....
and if you said to me you needed to use a blue and white twin tail on this visit , silly me would have thought you were clueless ....go figure right ...
until I find them again , on a steel horse I ride ...
