Weekly Meetup

Met up with my fishing bud just before noon.
The lake level is slightly above full pool .
The ramp we met at was overrun with boaters putting in and taking out , especially for a Wednesday.
Plan B , we took off to another location that only had one vehicle with an empty trailer.
I caught five , while my bud went fishless . The sun was beating down on us out there on near the open ramp and the temps were already in the mid 80’s . Light winds.
So we changed locations again . This one was a little busy but not like the first one . No one was using the ramps but there was a threesome swimming just on the other side of the boat dock . Didn’t bother the fish . Bud caught seven , mostly on his flyrod , I caught sixteen total there using micro jigs .
Fishing went cold and we changed locations again to park without a ramp . No one was there .
My bud ended up with thirteen total and I wound up with 32 .

I left a little earlier than usual, partly because of the heat , but mainly because a guy with his son shows up and starts fishing right between me and my bud who was less than 100 feet from me . So with 550 miles of shoreline available at this reservoir, this guy starts fishing less than fifty feet from me .
I don’t understand it .
The only thing I could imagine, was he was new fisherman and figured we knew what we were doing , so he thinks since it’s a public place he can join us .
All he had to do was ask ! Would have been the polite thing to do .
Anyway , we left it to them .
