Ran to the teied and true brush piles and started scoping around. Found a "Mega" school of slabs around the first brush pile. Im not sure how many there were in the school but on my electronics the school measured 60ft long by about 6ft high that almost blacked out my screen. Bait of the day was a 1" Berkley Gulp minnow in the Green shiner color paired with an orange 1/32 oz jig head and a small split shot about 8" above the lure. Fish were still feeding heavily on spawning threadfin shad. You can literally see the school swimming up to the lures as soon as it hit the water. Thump after thump and slab after slab started hitting the the livewell. Started throwing them back when we hit the mid 30's. Ended the day early with 82 big slabs on the clicker, 33 in the livewelland was back on the trailer for noon. It was an awesome day. I have another 10 brush piles ready to drop next weekend. Hopefully they have the same success as my previous brush piles.
