Today is what you would call "CATCHING" not "FISHING"!!!
    Weather conditions
    Skies: Cloudly
    Winds: SSE 15-20
    Water Clarity: stained / clear
Tide: dropping until noon, incoming after lunch
Lures: shad colored Jenny's Jigs / Berkley Gulp 1" minnow on 1/16oz. jig heads.
I decided to invite a baseball dad who loves crappie fishing today. Launched at Foggy waters marina in Slidell, LA before daylight. Ran to several of my brush piles on the Bayou. Started live scoping around. The post spawn slabs were bunched up and feeding heavily on baby threadfin shad. We couldn't keep our lines in the water today. It seemed like we were catching fish on every cast at one point. We started dropping slab after slab in the box. At 0900 we had 40 good sized slabs and decided to catch and release afterwards. By 11A.M we had 90 on the fish clicker. We ended the day at 1300 and the final talley was 120 on the clicker. We called it a day and was back on the trailer for 1330. The recent full moon, overcast skies and shad spawn had the slabs in a frenzy today.

Sounds like an awesome day. Don’t seem to get many of them. Good job.
