Slow but good day

Visiting friends at their lake house on Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs. Been up here 3-4 times in as many years trying to figure out the fishing. Mercy this is a tough lake to fish. So far for me finding crappie here is like finding a needle in a hay stack. But yesterday we found a needle, one at least lol. My Son in law pitched his jig in right behind me when I had a good thump but no connection. He got a thump and came up with a Nice fish. This is his personal best , weighing 2 lbs. Unfortunately there were no others that wanted to show themselves. We couldn’t buy another bite. We had a good day with other species but now we do have proof there are crappie here. Lol. We did get an extra bath yesterday, got ran off the water by a downpour, that is always fun lol
