Duck Season

Hey friends!

Been too long since I’ve posted, busy with the toddlers and life. God has been so good to me!!

As duck season ends, getting ready to slay the slabs in coming months. Got out a few times this winter, but only caught a few. Did catch a massive 10 lb striper on a crappie jig though! What a tank.

How was duck season for you guys? I’m in my 4th year of chasing the whistling wings and must say, I love it more than ever. Had a great year, going out once per week most of the season.

Trusty 12 gauge Browning BPS delivered as always. Great gun that has provided me with many firsts (first limit of dove, first limit of ducks, many first species, the list goes on).

Got my first ever limit (6) one morning which was really special. Normally I’m lucky to just scratch out a few. Of course, got skunked a few times as well! Over the season, knocked down several mallards, couple wood ducks, spoonies, green wing teal and gadwall. Can’t wait until next season!!

Hope you guys got to chase em a bit as well. In the interim, it’s time to fill up the livewell!
