I had lines in the water just after 4. Actually landed the first fish as I was setting up; got the sonar up and running, noticed a mark under the boat, dropped the Percy Crappie Magnet over the side and fish #1 was in the boat, an average bluegill. Then got the other 2 rods rigged and headed out for real. Good 'gills were plentiful tonight, lot of sunnies between 8 and 9 inches.
Got a few more crappie than the last couple of trips as well, I think I got 9 total. Here's a sample.....
That's a roadrunner 1/32 oz head with a Southern Pro triple tail grub in Tennessee Shad color. I'll bet 3/4 of my fish total came on it; white didn't do too well tonight.
Same roadrunner with a black and chartreuse did OK, both curly tail and straight stinger tail, especially as the light began to fade.
All 35 fish I caught would get released back today. No perch would be caught and the one small bass I hooked spit the hook before I could get him close enough to net.
