• High Rock Crankin

Well, school is out and that means I have my trusty co-pilot back aboard for one of our favorite summertime tactics, pulling cranks.

We had lines in the water a few minutes before 6:00 A.M. and started picking up a few, admittedly somewhat random, along with the obligatory catfish who were quite active in the morning.

Fished from ~6:00 A.M. --> 12:00 P.M. and tried a few new stretches, some more productive than others. Counter read 43 (crappie, that is) which is definitely on the slow side but in terms of cranking season, it's just getting started.

Only wanted to clean 10 so we kept a bunch of solid 11's and also had this nice throwback "over" who's still swimming.

Congrats Robbie! Young ones are so good to take along. Couple more weeks and I hope to pull some cranks too.
