Another Good 2hr Trip to the River

Seems timing the boat traffic to check the tree tops is working. With so much work still going on recovering from the tornado I can't get out much to fish. The water color was good on both trips, natural colors still dominated. All fish caught on BGBS Blueback shad, Shiner, Red Thunder with chrome & blue jig heads 1/16th ounce #4 hooks. Fishing heavy cover for these bigger fish. Once the boat traffic starts seems to me the bite just shuts down. The fish sink, quit biting, I'm not using my Panoptix so not watching where they are moving. Skiers were out, that always shuts down the bite or say the ability for me to tease the bigger fish to rise up to my jig. Little Tacos bite plenty but I don't keep them unless I gill hook those. Ended up keeping 9 fish before returning back to work here but all 9 are very nice.
