• Shooting and Redbreast trip

Went to the Shooting range with my brother this morning.
Got to shoot my Ruger MarkIV 22/45’s and my Ruger Bisley Single Six for about an hour , had a lakeside snack of Vienna Sausages and cheese crackers and then got to fish about forty five minutes before making the two hour drive back home .
My plan was to catch four or five on my 5’5” Daiwa Gekkabijin Ajing rod , paired with a Shimano Nasci 500 , then switch to my 4’10” Major Craft Finetail Glass rod paired with an older model Shimano Sienna 500 .
I hooked six on the Ajing rod , landed four and switched rods .
I landed eight including some pretty redbreast .
I need to get down there and spend a few hours fishing there . There has to be some bigger ones in there .
I think redbreast are second in line as far as putting up a good battle , next to shellcracker

I haven’t shot my 22/45 since my father passed away in 2017. We used to shoot together behind their house. Nice colors on those catches.

The red rod catches the eye. Both nice rigs and some good fish.
