• Caught a few this morning

    Fishing the bank at Yatesville while up on vacation. Haven't fished here in many years, but looked at Google maps and found a spot to bank fish. Was planning on worm fishing for bluegill, but when I got there and saw all the stickups, I figured I'd try for some crappie. Used a beetle spin with black jig head and white body.

      Good job. I wish there were more areas around where I live to bank fish from. Most is private property and inaccessible.

      Interesting. You should have caught a bass or 2. The pic made me remember of place like that on the Chowan river in NC. Thanks for posting.

      GFY as you can always find a place on the bank, docks or riprap to get some fishing in if you look hard enough. didn't ketch any monsters but you were still Ketchn and that's always fun.
