Been a while, fish are biting

Fall bite is doing good down on Jordan and below on the river. About the last five trips mainly targeting bass, crappie haven't been shy about biting. Been getting between 5 and 10 crappie until yesterday. Didn't get a limit but sure had a good time.

Using a 1-1/2 and 3/4 oz lead spoon bouncing on the bottom in the gobs of shad on the dropoffs 20 to 30 feet deep. A few in 40+ water. Every crappie, bass and catfish puking up 2 shad at a time. Current or calm water did not phase the bite below the dams.
