Could certainly see the lake getting ready for Fall fishing. To me, it's the best time of the year. The tourists are at football games and a lot of fishermen are getting ready to deer hunt. The fish are feeding heavily and makes for a fun time on the water.
Look at the first three pictures--they are even up in 6' water, but just starting. The best are still a little deeper.
Look what was just offshore from our route. We came back through this area had some fun.
You know Fall is right around the corner when the shad start gathering in huge schools. There sure seems to be a big shad and crappie population this year. In the past years, I would have thought a lot of the individual fish we were seeing were a lot of perch. This year, I think they are mostly crappie. The jagged shape on the bottom is from way too many boats out water skiing. The up and down motion makes for a jagged looking bottom.
Gonna be a GOOD year!!!!!
