Today’s lure of choice was a Bead Head jig 1/24oz tipped with a Berkeley Power Wax Worm. This combination was deadly, and cast like a little bullet on the Corto with the Ester line.

I did throw the Trout Magnet some but the fish seemed to be a little deeper so the added weight kept my bait in their faces a bit longer. Anyway, a pattern started to emerge, and the total fish count was well over 50 before long, with the majority of the quarry about average/medium size. Always fun to hear the drag squeal. Good keepers were scattered, even found some in hiding in the shade of deeper docks, bushes, and steep bluff faces.

Girth and length of today’s keepers was average for public waters in E TN, and perfect size for the plate.
