Yesterdays trip produced a fine catch of big fat females. Up to sixteen inches amd all were released. Again it was heavy jacket day. 40 degrees at launch. The bite was a light one and you had to keep an eny on the slip bobber. Often a lift rather than a jerk on the jig. Using the 4 lb test is a must. Water temps are still slowly warming and just getting to the upper fiftys. No warm temps are in the forcast so it will contiue to be slow but that will extend the spawn. This morning it is 43 and drizzel with a breeze so staying home is the plan. We sometimes find the Gray squirels swimming and that happened yesterday.
