• Showing a friend the ropes on Percy Priest

I don't like taking others out on my boat when I'm trying new techniques. I like to be fairly confident in getting some catches first. So after some success pulling cranks, I took a friend who doesn't get to fish very often. We pulled in 5 in 3 hours, all keepers, and he got the two biggest. Tops was a 14 inch white crappie, my buddy's first TARP fish. He says he'll pay me back this fall with a dove hunt. Good deal!

I was running Bandit 300s, Arkie 350s, and Picos. All caught fish. 4 of the 5 fish came on blue colored baits. We were also out at 6:00am and didn't get one for the first hour. Is it possible to be too early?
