• Float time is upon us ......

The fall fish in many areas tend to get frisky in the late part of the year . that said I knew sooner or later the short bite under a fixed quill float would come around .Well it seems someone forgot to get a memo to the fish and they began a day early ......
one day before fall officially starts and 5 foot under a fixed float they were slamming harder than a spring run fish .
Man do I love watching my little quills go down like a rock is on them . Long range casts in a super south wind kept me from really spanking them as it was near impossible to get in the strike zone . But to be sure if you got within about 15 foot of the intended area and jigged the thing like a rattle float after specks in the bay .....KABOOM ,,,they would slam they fire out of it !
will try to repeat the scenario later today as I didn't have much time and was only there about 30 minutes ......
man do I love me some mean hungry crappie
p.s. there was one lost spot that came by for the quickie as well ....
