And so it went for the next two hours. Had to show Ernie how to stay in touch with a falling jig to feel the light tick that the 1/32 jigs give, but once that was done he was boating fish regular. After a start in the 50's just after daybreak, it was nice to have the sun show itself and warm the day. Now it was comfy. My friend Eddie was also there and we chatted back and forth and really enjoyed ourselves. But a little later the bite slowed and others came to stay and not liking crowds, especially those that move into the middle of where we were trying to stay out of and not crowd the fish, it was time to move off.
I asked Eddie what time it was; 0915. A little over two hours and we had all been talking how the bite had slowed. Fired up and went north but never turned another fish. I did see a guy release a nice 4lb LMB but he was looking for them. Almost 1100 we started for the ramp with 19 on the clicker , and 11 in the box with 2 over 13 and 1 over 14 with nothing under 11 1/2 today. Boat Launch Idiots made the load up a bit off but it wasn't too bad, and the jet ski's were just showing up. Our bucket of fish weighed 14lb 14oz and the empty bucket weighed 2lb 6oz, so all in all a very productive two hours of fishing.
A few pics of the fish and the day, and thanks for the visit.......Skeet.
