The other fishermen were a pleasure to fish with. Everyone was respectful of other boats and where they were fishing. No incidents or short nerves fishing in a tight space. We shared info with other boats to help them and they did the same. Conditions; water temp hovering around 50F with the wind making it much colder. Started out overcast and ended up with sun. Most of the fish were in 20-24 FOW and stacked up at least 8 feet tall.
Okay, our technique - we trolled around till we found a school. Noting the depths they were at, we dropped jigs with BG mayfly about 2-3 feet above them. We would bounce the jig, jerk the jig or sometimes move it a foot or two and let it fall. Some bites were fairly hard but most of them were little taps and you had to be on your toes. Hey...it worked for us.
Great day and we'll be back to collect that limit....soon.
