Had an opportunity to take my daughters fishing, the last chance to have them both fishing together till summer (oldest in Nashville for college). Ran out to local lake here in Orlando to chase green fish. We incorporated some longlining techniques into our bass fishing. We troll 5 rods, a 3 with dbl. jigs (large 1/8 oz) rigged with 4" plastics and a couple with crankbaits. We troll between 4 and 5 mph with large motor. Most outings we catch crappie along with bass. In previous years it has been very productive from now till end of February. Believe we are catching fish staging before and after spawn.

I think we may be on the road to figuring out Slab's crankbait secrets, notice the size of this monster [emoji15] [emoji3] [emoji3]

Hungry little joker! and a very fast swimmer.

nothing like fishing with your kids, nice work dad. occasionally it's ok to go after those trash fish while you pick up a nice crappie or two along the way. trolling at 4 mph? guess you get the aggressive fish for sure. Fun day!

Great pic of a great trip. Makes me remember that I haven't had my Gdaughter out in a while. Love the big smiles, they speak volumes.
