This was Max's first crappie camp. Abbey has been to many. We will see how having two dogs will work out for me, should be interesting.
Abbey says hello to an old friend. Team Geezer friend to be exact. And the heart and soul of crappie.com, super "G".
So we kinda took it easy Wednesday, but Thursday we got the guber out on the water. He quickly got into his comfort zone, telling us where to catch fish. It was a blast, we had a great time. We did not catch a ton, but we did good for a couple geezers, gewbers, and cripples.
The three amigos.
And at the end of the day we all sat around and ate all sorts of good stuff. I know ScottV brought some, Mrs. Tammy brought some, and in my gezzerness, I forget who else brought food over Thursday evening. Someone will correct me. But it was great, thanks go out to all. Great seeing everyone.
I have lots more pics, but you have to hang on, I can't get on good. I have to do all this with iPad and getting the pics from iPhone to iPad has made things a little difficult.
Friday was a rainy day so most did not fish. But we sure ate well. Oraville broke out some venison sausage.

Abbey likes.... She sure did. We had fries and fish too, thanks to knightshadow and ScottV I believe. Great food.
We we were able to take the guber out Saturday morning too. Pulled cranks with off shore tackle planer boards.
Billbob has been through a lot of health issues this year, but I think this trip has really provided some good healing for him. After fishing, his paced picked up, he was more talkative, and more active in general, with not a single fainting episode. I tell y'all, I think fishing is the cure. It's a Billbob approved treatment for anything that ails you. Catch a crappie, and call me in the morning!
This is as close to a group pic that I got. The food was awesome, awesome, awesome. And the desert was even better. I filled my plate twice, once with food, and then again completely with desert. The nanner pudding pie got me. There were two different ones. And peach cobbler. And caramel pie. My desert plate was piled high.
It was great to see Barbie. And she got a new puppy.
Sunday the the crew thinned out and only a few members remained.
I pulled cranks with Jeff again and we did better than the day before. I think we caught 10 or 11 keepers. Not bad for fishing just the morning.
And we had a pleasant surprise waiting for us at camp. Orville had tuna on the grill. Oraville sure knows how to eat. The tuna was great. And to think, I never knew Enid had tuna! Lol

Monday I fished with Orville.
I've caught crappie smaller than the size minnows Orville uses to fish with. In fact there was one time I picked up my rod and I seen I still had two minnows on, but then, no wait, one was actually a small crappie. I could not believe a crappie the size of a minnow would bite a hook with a minnow its same size. I'd have to guess that the minnow came off the hook and the little guy really bit the unbaited gold hook, but who knows!
If you've been to Enid, you prolly recognize the deer. I know for fact they recognized Orville and Don, they came running when they seen their trailers come into the campground. They know they are gonna get fed good.
Any time you hang around Orville you gonna get fed good. White gulf shrimp. Mmmgood
Abbey knows how to find a warm lap for sure. But one thing, we did try to feed her a piece of shrimp and she repeatedly dropped it out her mouth. Dang she don't know what's good. Don and I finished the shrimp off without her help then. Boy we were full.

Tuesday it it was only Orville and I. Feelay invited us out to fish on his boat, so of course we jumped at the chance. We met up with him at Sardis for a day on the water. It did get windy, and we were not able to fish where Carl wanted to fish, but we did get on some fish. It was a lot of fun. Nice to try another lake on this trip as well. Thanks Carl, have to do it again some time.

Abbey enjoyed how feelays big boat rocked her to sleep
on the big four,
if you're thinking about hiring a guide,
you have to give feelay a try,
and that ain't no lie

Anyone want to make their own fish cleaning station needs to consult with Orville. Look at this thing. He really thought of everything.
OMG, I really should weigh 300 pounds. Orville did it again. Something different every day.
i thought this deer was going to tap Orville on the shoulder!
