Tired of the cheap store bought line strippers that never work right. I bought a set of hard plastic shot classes at WalMart. I drilled a hole bottom center of each one and bolted them together with a 1/4 by three bolt and a wing nut. Chucked it up in my drill.....very fast works great. To remove line from the tool.....just spin the wing nut off and pull the shot glasses apart....line will slip right off.
I've been using a cordless drill for a while. However I always taped the line to a broken arrow shaft etc. and I could never remove the line so I had to throw the whole thing away. I do 6 or 8 of my catfish rigs at the same time. I lay the rods across my boat and take off. This is a great Idea for a way to remove the line from your stripper device. Awesome thanks for sharing.
This is a great idea. Thanks for sharing. One enhancement I may make is to use a short piece of threaded rod with a regular nut on the drill side and the wing nut on the outer side with only the minimum thread needed to tighten it down . Would speed up spinning the wing nut off since the thread is much shorter.
Once again, a great tip and I already have some of those cups.
