I fished 10 to 4 today. I kept 21. Same pattern as before one here and one there off cypress trees. I am still catching them on the same orange and red jig for 3 trips. It is holding up well and still looks new. The large males are in full war paint now with bloody fins. I caught a 7.5# choupique. It took me about 15 minutes to land him on that light jigging pole. I talked to a man at the landing that was fighting a fish and heard the sound of beating wings as he was pulling the fish out the water and an eagle grabbed his fish. The eagle was in the water and would not let go. He got as close to it as he dared and cut the line. The eagle then swam to the bank with it and started eating it. Judging from the picture it was either a female or a young male. I wish I ask him to text me the picture. Water was 64.7 today and falling. Still muddy with clear water coming out of cuts.
