It's Official on Lake Harney

The 2015-16 season is open on Lake Harney. Been playing around in the salt back-waters with mild success waiting for some cooler weather before dropping a few lines to speck fish. Couple weeks back bought (2) 10ft. rods so.....I thought I'd try my luck & see how my set-up would perform dragging 8 poles staggered by 2ft. per pole. The weather was great, slight ripple to no wind & the water a little higher than normal for this time of year, 82F water temp at day break. Didn't matter on the presentation double 1/16" jigs, beetle-spin, 1/8" road-runners they slammed them all no minnows, bite good til' 10:30am. Can't remember seeing bigger fish this early in the season 1/2 dozen 13"-14" fatties. Took home some table-fare = freezer was empty. Had so much fun, didn't even care about losing the biggest 1 of the morning, note to self, bring the net Monday.............maybe see a few of ya's O-T-W
