    Me and my dad made a trip to Big Lake on Thursday. We ended up the day doing pretty well.

    It paid off too!

    I managed to catch one too!

    Decided to stop on the way back in and head the shrimp. This guy seemed to really enjoy it.


    Managed to catch a speck too. Finished off the Cajun grand slam but only the flounders were big enough to keep.

    Some of these were huge!

    And last but not least, the shrimp!

      Nice catch. I don't think I have ever seen anyone display their flounder catch white side up. Wish I was there for supper!!!!!!!!!!

      I started doing that after going to Alaska and Halibut fishing and notice they almost always take the picture with the white side up. They seem to show up a lot better in low light conditions.

      I try to always bring some shrimp to fry at our Darbonne gathering and our Toledo gathering, so either the 2nd weekend in November (Darbonne) or the last weekend in February. Come over and join us!
