• Kansas fish habitat structures - Cubes

Below is a video I recently put together showing the installation of some new to Kansas fish habitat structures - Cubes.

Our first round consisted of 150 structures. 150 more will be built soon. Here's a link to the article on the KDWPT webpage that has all the details. NEW FISH ATTRACTORS FOR KANSAS LAKES / 1-29-15 / Weekly News / News / KDWPT Info / KDWPT - KDWPT

Thought you would enjoy the video!

    Thanks,

    Craig

The bottom PVC frame is filled with concrete/gravel to provide weight to assist in anchoring the structures. More weight may be needed, depending on the depth of installation and expected wave action. The addition of a cinder block or two over the corners would easily add additional weight.

GPS coordinates for select cubes can be found by visiting the following link and clicking "Google KMZ file of Fish Attractor GPS." Not all GPS coordinates for the cubes are currently listed, however, the page will be continually updated as more coordinates become available. GPS/KML Information & Files / Fishing Atlas / Hunting & Fishing Atlas' / Locations / KDWPT Info / KDWPT - KDWPT

Go to the Google KMZ file of Fish Attractors listed under Google Earth files on the page link listed above.
