    Went yesterday. Fished 7 to 1. Tried several places and caught them all in one canal that had slow moving water. 4 ft deep, 78 degree water. All caught dipping a blue/chart jig on a jig pole.
    12 CRAPPIE, 1 BASS, 1 CATFISH, 4 GOGGLEYE. Had fun and now for the good part, fresh fried crappie!! Gonna fry Monday for wife and I, Mother in law(98), her little brother(88) and his wife(87).
    Will post fish fry on off topic, if plans hold. Wait till you see these young people.

      Very nice... I haven't heard "Goggle eye " since I was lived on caddo. I used to catch them when I was a kid.

      I had to google "goggleye"-- that's a good name for rock bass!

      They are similar. A goggleye is actually a warmouth.
