Again, we applied our "speed drifting" technique I reported on. Again, it payed off for us, although not as prolifically as our last 3 outings. On the water by 7:30 am and off at 2 pm as usual. We caught and released between 50 and 60 crappie. Also got about a dozen or so bluegill and ONE yellow perch! Good day (fish-wise) to be on the water, but we had to bathe ourselves in wind/sunscreen protection. Here are a few of the fish we caught yesterday. No giants, but steady fun action!

This is turning out to be a fine fishing season. Hopefully the wind will die down somewhat by tomorrow. We are targeting smallmouth bass on Friday, unless the high winds persist; then we always have the "crappie alternative"!
