    Not for hand hooking, but alot of the trot line fishermen around here use only stainless steel hooks.........no bait!

    They do that here but soak special trotlines in no bait with hooks about every 4''. But is commercial tackle and is dangerous to run. The no bait mixtures vary but is sometimes old used motor oil with things like sweet anise oil, bannna oil, asfidity, wintergreen oil, and such added. It catches rough fish and Catfish. It is a good way to catch big Flatheads and Spoonbills.

    Big bream or any sun fish alive.I like em best big,they take the hook better.

    So my grand kids like to fish for small gills and i can use them for bait, they will like that.
