    Default Carp Pic

    Evening!

Had a picture of a carp you might want to see. Landed this big boy with a 5' ultralight with 8 lb test. Took 25 minutes to land but sure was fun.

He was 14 lbs. I was using a orange and chartruse curly tail skirt on a black 1/24 crappie jig. I had tipped the jig with a white crappie nibble and he took it almost as soon as it hit the water. I had to roll the drag almost all the way off to land him. He is definitely not as big as I've seen but sure was fun...

Its been a long time since I fished for carp. I will fish for them this summer, do remember how hard they do fight. Any new baits that I should try, used to use worms, corn and wheaties?
