Yes, Im definitely familiar with barotrauma and fish. These walleyes were jigged out of 60fow.![]()
CP I will check to see if my lakes have that data available. I have not seen a predominant thermocline on the Lowrance yet on the lakes I fish. Now that you mentioned it the I remember reading about the thermocline.. I just haven't used that information yet. It definitely slipped my mind.. So many things to remember to be proficient.. To be honest I retain about 2% I read and depend on 98% luck. LOL
Each winter on some lakes here Shad move to major creeks off main lake and Crappie follow .
Not only check those creeks, but check maps or other sources for any spot that has a spring that feeds into the lake or is IN the lake .... natural springs lend cooler water to the area in warm weather times & in cold weather times the spring water can be warmer than the lake water. In both instances it can be a mecca for fish.
For your winter fishing search try ice instead of winter, might help in what your looking for
