Don't pass up fishing boat docks, and with the SI unit, that should help you out. Try fishing under pontoon boats where the back of the boat is getting hit with sunlight. The pontoons will warm up two too three degrees warmer than the water temp. and I have seen crappie stack up just under the pontoons to enjoy the warmer water. Use a light jig like 1/32 or smaller with a small cork. I start with a dark colored jig or a black jig then change from there if that color does not work. Hope this helps.
