Newby fisher. Wife's family has a pond and I spent the day fishing. Was catching plenty of fish (released em all) using #8 and #6 hooks with worms on 4# line with a slip float rig or my beetle spin under a slip float (couple of cranks then let it fall). End of the day I tossed the remaining worms into the water. There were bream/crappie at least twice the size of the ones I was catching eating everything. What should I do to catch those instead of the smaller ones, go up a hook size? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
