ibmack is correct !! I'd venture to say that 90% of my jig plastics have chartreuse on them, somewhere !!
While I don't use blk/char very much, blue/char - green/char - and solid chartreuse are usually the first ones placed on a jighead. It just seems to create a good contrast, regardless of whatever other color is on the bait ... and IMHO, contrast allows your bait to get seen in a wide variety of water clarity conditions.
