I mainly look for structure. The crappie will either be there or not. I barely see them on my 899. I can at times make out there are fish but other times I see nothing but still catch fish. Not sure how it works but it does. I just figure if the structure is there the fish will find sooner or later.
Now there are times I can drive around and see lots of fish but can never catch any. Can't figure that out either.
