Best frog I ever used was a "hand-pour" 10" bait that had to be T-rigged with a 5/0 - 7/0 wide gap Gamakatsu hook...the fish would grab the bait before it even hit the water! Unfortunately, the guy that was making them quit all of a sudden and hasn't been heard from since.

Anyone want to start pouring big plastics? PM me and I'll post a picture of what they looked like.

I like the Stanley Ribbit. Really kick the water up & sound like a buzzbait. You can get one rigged & 2 extra frogs for less than $5. Click on the Youtube video.

I caught my largest bass with a SPRO Frog. I have yet to catch a fish with my Scumfrogs Trophy & Bigfoot. I also picked-up 2 Cabelas Chuck-it JR Frogs have not caught a fish with those either.
I got SPRO Frogs for $7.19 at Cabelas a few weeks back.
You should save and get the SPRO Frog.

I've used both Snag Proof and Spro frogs and the Snag Proofs have far outshined the Spro ones for me.
If Fishing was easy then everybody would be good at it.

While my ignorance here is tremendous, from what I am reading I think a lot depends upon where you are fishing, how you fish different frogs, and what colors you use may play into it. It's pretty interesting to me that one person loves frog X, and another swears Z is great, and both argue that the other's favorite frog is the worst. I'd really love to try to get such people together on each others spots, to see how things played out. It may be that you finally found a way to fish a particular frog, and you think all frogs need to be fished that way, and perhaps that is not the case. I don't know what the reason is, but I am completely fascinated when people are so strongly in disagreement over such things... Perahps we could learn more if everyone told us what part of the country they fish, what type of water, etc.? I love this thread!
