With the several years of lack luster upland hunting has Kansas ever thought about closing the season for a few years to regain a good population? I have heard South Dakota buys and releases birds ever year if so why couldn't we do that. I can only imagine the money the state could make if we had the reputation as the Dakotas for pheasant. I do understand that we lost a lot of crp land for emergency haying that last few years. I and many others I'm sure would love to see the numbers of birds from long ago.
