During some years, especially the last two, there are a lot of wipers caught at Rocky Ford. Tuttle Creek has never been stocked with wipers, so these wiper would be from fish swimming upstream that were flushed out of other reservoirs (Milford). However, there are some giant white bass in Tuttle Creek Reservoir right now and some of these 4 lb fish could be confused with wipers.
Thanks Craig this is what I was thinking kind of amazing the taveling distance some of these fish have done to get to the areas they are. There are smallmouth in the creeks on Ft. Riley as well found 10 plus miles from were they had to have entered from the Kansas and Republican Rivers.
