    Default Boating Rivers?

Craig, to my knowledge all rivers in KS are private other than the Kansas, Arkansas, and MO. How far can I go up the rivers that dump into our reservoirs? On the KDWP website I see 14 miles of Fall River are open to the public above Fall River Lake. I have not been able to find any info on other lakes. Im planning a trip to Milford to run up the Republican and I dont care to get shot by some farmer that doesnt like fisherman if you know what Im mean.

    Thanks,
    Cody

    Cody,

River access is allowed above Kansas reservoirs within the confines of the Federal property boundary. If you are still inside the Wildlife Area Boundary then you are fine. If you leave the Wildlife Area and enter on to private land then you would have to permission from the landowner(s).

Unless the river is up or you're in an air boat you won't make it off the federal land in the republican river above Milford.

LOL, I have been told that about other lakes before. Now I have to give it a try.
