I don't Crappie fish in Chicot very much but just for the heck of it I took my youngest son to ditch bayou Saturday when I got back from Washington. We trolled the entire length of Ditch and all I caught was one striped bass. I tried lots of different colors but didn't find anything they wanted. I had heard a rumor at lunchtime that a guy from Monticello had really mopped up on them that morning in Ditch using shiners. He may have been fishing the tops and laydowns....I trolled down the middle.

it wasn't me...lol...i layed low sat....caught up on chores...i think there is a pretty good top that was sunk last year just outside of ditch but have never fished it...one of those work rumors you know...maybe that guy found it
