Has anyone fished a small unknown lake or creek with a 2 man boat or small alum boat and done any good with the crappie??

You Can Make a Difference!
I used to love doing that until the bullets start flying... Whats the big deal about private property??![]()
Good one, Stubby.:D
But seriously, there are some fantastic holes around Central AR that are just right for small 2 man boats. And, not all of them are unknown. You can fish larger waters with 'em, but you just have to be more cautious of wind and water conditions. I know several guys that can wear me out any day with a 2 man boat...
I've done well on creeks before fishing from one.
There are any number of bar pits, old sloughs, breaks and chutes in east arkansas in the mississippi river bottoms behind the levee. Ouachita river west of here also. Most of these places won't let you put in with a big boat and they have crappie in them. I'm sure there are places just like these close to you also. Good Luck.....![]()
Thanks for the replys guys. A friend and I fished a small lake behind the old Craine dealership on University We had some good luck there just before the rains began, did have to fight the high winds tho. We have found several small lakes in the central Ark. area but have not had a change to check them out yet!
used to see several on conway.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The sheep live in fear of the wolf but in the end it's the shepherd that eats them.

I see you guys are very tight-lipped about the location of these spots!!
Laz51 did say "unknown"..........LOLOL:D But really, some of them don't have names.
