Default where to catch big bream in western Arkansas

I live in Charleston and I am wanting to get into bream fishing. Does anyone know where to go to catch some big ones? Also does anyone know if Darby Lake on Fort Chaffee still has good crappie fishing?

I know they filled in some of these, but a few years ago the strip pits north and east of Charleston was heaven for bream fishing and red ear. Dad and I have caught some almost 2 lbs. We would limit out every time we went. Some had good crappie in them.

Darby is like Charleston city lake for crappie. You have to hit it the one day they are biting in the right place. 2 yrs ago I limited out on good ones at Darby next few days never a bite. Next year caught 26 2 lb plus slabs out of Charleston C.L. The stip pits North of town hold some Monster Bream.
Was that a bite? Forgot what they feel like!
