Going to bear creek in the morning. My dad went before the rain and caught a few slabs still full of eggs. Maybe they'll bite everything else is about to be flooded aroung here if it already isn't. The mississippi is suppose to crest at 32' on the 13th. wish me luck guys.

The bream seem larger this year than they've been recently. Went last Tues. and did well. At this time of year, it's not "how many will you catch", but "how many crickets do you want to use". If you want to catch 20, buy 50 crickets; if 100, buy 200 crickets. We used approx 200 crickets in about 2 1/2 hrs. You need to be really quiet and don't spook them off the beds.
