    Default Greers Conditions

Hi Folks. I'm supposed to take some friends fishing on Greers on Wednesday or Thursday. I'm afraid to ask, but has anyone seen Greers since the deluge. I was wondering if it was muddied up real bad. Thanks

I saw it Friday and it was stained but it has rose almost 4' since then so my guess is it looks pretty muddy.

    Default Information

Don't know about color, but the following link will give you the water level. It is approximately 5 1/2 feet above normal at this time. I am sure that all the creeks and major tribs are muddy. Not good Crappie fishing, but if you want to try for a catfish you should have good luck.

If the good Lord is willing and the creeks dont rise I'll catch a slab today.

Well, at least it is not as bad as last year! We won't have to fish up in the pine trees.

Didn't do too well last year with the Crappie, but sure did bring home some good strings of catfish. Overall it was an excellent year.:D:D

Yeah, Greers offered some fine fishing last year and this spring has been good too, just a little behind schedule IMHO. But I will be happy to be without last year's flood waters. It sure was weird seeing my fishing spots in 50 ft of water instead of 25!

My dad and I were on GF this afternoon, middle fork and hill creek, and the water is pretty muddy, water temp was around 60. We trolled and worked the bank, I got skunked and dad only caught one.

Since last Wednesday at 1pm, the lake has risen over five feet and is still rising.

You will have to hunt 'em down, bud.

Good luck and let us know how you do. I'm curious if the fem's still have their eggs.

Went up today to take a look at the lake around Choctaw. It is way up but not as dirty as I expected. I will give them a try tomorrow afternoon if the weather clears up and am definitely going on Thursday morning.
