Default Burnt Cane. Stick a fork in it??

Had a few years where I was convinceed that it was the best lake anywhere. Normal trip produced from 75-250 with lots of slabs. Had one submerged tree that I caught well over a thousand out of. Then the water came up and flooded for miles. Fished several times last year and it wasn't the same. My sunken tops that would be covered up would give out 1-2 if any. An old timer that had been fishing there for years told me that I had just been there the few years when the water didn't rise and it wasn't like that in the past. It has been Paradise lost.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The sheep live in fear of the wolf but in the end it's the shepherd that eats them.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes click when it is supposed to go bang and
a gun the goes bang when it is supposed to go click.

I wouldn't go that far and say that I mean it may not be good this year but give it 1 or 2 years it's been hit real hard the last 3 years. It needs a break and is the river in it or do you know. I've fished it my whole life and those crappie tend to move alot and they do it every couple of years. If I get a chance to fish it this year i'll keep ya posted.
