Hey largemouth, were you trolling? I hadn't been to Horseshoe in a week, but last week I found some under the docks in 10' with jigs tipped with crappie nuggets.

I heard that someone drowned at Horseshoe yesterday. Not surprising considering how strong the wind was. Sorry to hear about it though. I had to pull a couple of guys out of the water in November one year over there that had flipped their boat.

Polebender What I was told was that there were three guy in the boat only one could swim and they had only one lifejacket. One did drown.I got this from the volunteer fireman in hughes who found him. It's a terrible thing but a reminder to all of us that we can never be too careful.
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work..

Good Job Largemouth!! Need to find my license so I can catch some of those slabs u got...lol!! Wind has been a little too high for me to fish horseshoe, can be very devastating on a windy day at Horseshoe. I've had my experience. Good Catch though!!

Winds forecast to be 10-15 tomorrow, that means 20+ HPM's (horseshoe miles per hour) This has been a cool Spring for sure, but I am getting good reports in spite of all the cool wet weather.

When the winds top 30 out of the SW, I've seen pontoons picked up and destroy a dock.

The shoe' don't play no games. I hate it that that fella lost his life last week. No fish is worth your last breath.
