Things are slowly getting back on track for Millwood. I caught 12 this morning in 4fow about 2 feet deep. Most of them around blow down trees, even better if they had grass mats around them. The water is back to 60 degrees by evening, warm enough for the gators to be out laying enjoying the sunshine.
Good morning of fishing, thanks for the report.
A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

congrats on catching some..
Comming down there from Illinois later this week. I will have a tough time concentrating on work this week! This will be my third trip to Millwood and my work buddy & I are looking forward to getting there and getting on the water. We are familiar with the Jacks Isle area somewhat - - - Any other parts of the lake that anyone would recommend?
Counting the hours.
I haven't been over to the west side of the lake yet this year. The water seems to warm up a little sooner on the north east side, thats where I've been lately. Yarbough and State Park both have tons cover and shallow green cypress close by like Jacks Isle. Jacks Isle area is real good with quick access to Little River you can go up to some of the old lakes like Mud, Horseshoe, Clear, or McGuire. They all over lots of places to hide from the wind or find some clearer water if needed. Forcast is for heavy rain Tuesday and Wednesday, but it's supposed to be warm. Good luck.
Now that's an encouraging report...and...some good information to file back.
One day I'm gonna have to take a trip down that way.
