    Default Old River Lake

Went with the wife this afternoon after work to Old River Lake in Scott. Bite was not great, but I had fun. Fished for 3 hours and caught 4 fish, and wife caught 1 longear bream, all on minnows. Fished from 1.5'-3' deep in 4-10 fow. they weren't slabs, but the will make the grease stink.

Heading back out this evening after work. Hopefully I still have a couple dozen minnows still alive, exchanged the water this morning before work, and none dead overnight, so...

Won't have as much time to fish this evening, got to work until quittin' time today. might still get 1.5 hrs in though. it'll be worth it.

WOW, what a day makes. Went back to the same spot, and the wife caught 1 yellow bass. At least it was pretty, and beats sitting on the couch.
