    Default Greer's Ferry

Went to Greers this afternoon after Church. Water temperature 51 degrees and stained. Caught 15 with 12 being keeper, nothing to brag about had 4 over 1.5 lbs. Caught them on minnows spider-rigging about 12' deep in 20-30 foot of water. Good to get back on the water.

Good to hear you were on the water and caught some....It's nice to hear a report from Greer's...sounds like the water temps took a pretty good hit from the cold snap....glad you got to get out, I know you enjoyed it...Thanks for the report.

Went up to Greers Ferry, at Choctaw, about 3:30 this afternoon, bought me a couple of dozen minnows and started to hunt . Spent about an hour catching 6 to 10 inch bass on about every cast till I finally hit a couple of crappie and got to catching them. Just in front of the bushes in about 4 to 5 feet of water on the north banks about halfway back in the little coves, west side of the coves, none in the back or out on the points. Never caught 2 out of the same place, had to keep moving, but ended up with 12 good crappie, best 3 were about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 each and the rest 1/2 to 3/4 of a pound, only 2 had eggs in them so the girls haven't really moved up yet. If I can keep from get'n caught tomarrow, I may sneak off again.

First time I've had the boat out of the shed since the tornado came through here last May 2nd, finally caught up on the rebuilding (still got a lot of cleaning up to do) and I've a lot of catch'n up to do with the fish'n.

I went back today with my SIL and got there about 3 and fished till 6 and we had 17 crappie from 1/2 pound to 2 pounds, probably averaged about a pound, SIL also caught a dandy walleye, 28 1/2 inches. We also caught a bunch of white bass, little black bass and a catfish. Used mostly tube jigs today, still fish'n just on the front edge of the bushes, the secondary points were the best.
