    Default Windy day crappie (pics)

Went back to Connerly bayou today, and the wind was terrible. It was even hard to get out of the wind in the bends of the bayou. They bit pretty good this morning, but slowed way down this afternoon. Water temp was 51 early and 54 when I left. Caught them in 8-10 fow, about 6 ft deep. Caught them on jigs. They're promising more of the same tommorow, but I'll still be out there. Ended up with 19 today.

    Today's haul.

    A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

Purdy mess o' fish ya got there, Jerry! And as someone said, "you earned 'em."

I declined today but will get an early start in the morning and maybe I can catch a couple before the wind really gets up there.

Good lookin mess of white perch Jerry ! ! ! That wind is rough right now and I was hoping it would be calm this weekend to go with the warm temps. Kinda limits where we are able to fish. My son is taking my boat down to the big "D" at Farmerville this morning to try'em down there. I have to work today but plan on going tomorrow.

Wow LA, you are a dedicated man. I would not touch Chicot when the winds are above 15mph steady. That lake is a sunken boat waiting to happen as soon as you leave the bayous. Beached a 14ft boat and sunk it on the shore in 3-4 ft swells out there a couple of years back.
